Family Discipleship Resources

What Are Family Discipleship Resources?

Helping the parents of Northbrook raise the next generation to enjoy God, make disciples, and plant churches.

Our family discipleship resources are designed to help you lead your kids to know and follow Jesus in everyday life—informed by the Word of God and centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ.

New City Catechisms for the Month

Our kids are encouraged to go through the New City Catechisms for Kids – one catechism question to memorize per week.

June 7| Question 23

Question: Why must the Redeemer be truly God?

Answer: That because of his divine nature his obedience and suffering would be perfect and effective.

June 14 | Question 24

Question: Why was it necessary for Christ, the Redeemer, to die?

Answer: Christ died willingly in our place to deliver us from the power and penalty of sin and bring us back to God.

June 21| Question 25

Question: Does Christ’s death mean all our sins can be forgiven?

Answer: Yes, because Christ’s death on the cross fully paid the penalty for our sin, God will remember our sins no more.

June 28 | Question 26

Question: What else does Christ’s death redeem?

Answer: Every part of fallen creation.
