Bible Studies

What Are Bible Studies?

Each Spring and Fall season, the people of Northbrook Church meet together to study, discuss, and learn from a specific book in the Bible.

Participants become students of Scripture in the semester by personal study, discussing in a small group, and sitting under the teaching of God’s Word in each passage.

Personal
Study

Prior to each week, we study a specific passage with guided questions. These questions are meant to assist us in comprehending, interpreting, and applying God’s Word.

Group
Discussion

Each week that we meet together, we begin by discussing the questions from independent study. This discussion helps to provide clarity through community, and assists in deeper learning of each passage.

Gospel-Centered
Teaching

Every week we hear gospel-centered teaching from men and women of Northbrook. The main point of the passage of Scripture serves as the main point of our teaching, with the goal of pointing followers of Jesus to the person of Jesus.
